Description

Join us on March 8th to celebrate National RDN/NDTR Day, as we return to Capitol Hill for AZAND’s Annual Legislative Day! AZAND members will be encouraging our legislators to put their best fork forward to improve the health of Arizonans and learn about the important role that RDNs and NDTRs play in promoting a healthy Arizona.

The event will include opportunities to connect with our state legislators, to engage with health policy experts in our community, and to learn about the power in advocacy work.

Morning speaker sessions will take place at the ASU Downtown campus, in the Walter Cronkite Building. After lunch we will be heading to the Arizona Capitol Complex to meet with our legislators.

FAQs

Where do I park?

ASU: You can use this link for parking information: https://cronkite.asu.edu/about/contact-us/directions-and-parking

Also: https://cfo.asu.edu/pts-parking-downtown

There is also limited meter and free street parking around Roosevelt St (ASU will be on Spring Break during that week so there should be some open spots)

Capitol Complex: Free parking is available in the Wesley Bolin Plaza parking lot (1616 W Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85007). That's located just east of the Capitol building, with one south entrance off Jefferson between 16th and 17th Avenue (Jefferson is a one way street in this area, going east) and another parking lot entrance on the north on Adams (Adams is a one-way street going west).

How do I get there?

From I-17 take Exit 197, State Capitol/19th Avenue. Drive north to Jefferson, then east across 17th avenue to entrance to the Wesley Bolin Plaza parking lot.
