Event description

Description

Queen of the Net, Mary Meeker said it is the next big thing.

Taylor Swift fought Apple over it.

Obama did it in a garage.

21.9m Britons do it every week.

And it is the 3rd most popular thing people do on their smartphones.

More audio is being created, streamed and shared than ever before.

This market is big and it’s growing. It is no longer something for early adopters.

Streaming audio via a connected device is now mass behaviour.

So why should Travel companies care?

Digital audio allows travel brands to deliver emotional and personal messaging at relevant moments that matter via a connected mobile device.

Back in 2014 Global, the Media & Entertainment Group launched DAX, the UK’s first digital audio advertising platform. DAX gives brands access to 180 publishers from podcasts to on demand music services reaching 15 million unique users each month in the UK and 60 million unique users Worldwide.

On the 24th May the Travel Team at Global have invited AWTE members to their in-house cinema for an educational business breakfast on everything we need to know about this emerging channel.

Using innovative binaural 3D audio technology, Bradd Tipler - Agency Sales Manager, Digital & DAX will explore:

  • What is digital audio?

  • Why is it such a big part of people’s lives?

  • What targeting opportunities there are for travel?

We all know by now; about the impact Oculus Rift has had on promoting destinations. Audio isn’t going to put travel brandsin front of the consumers’ eyes, it’s going to put the advertiser right between the consumers’ ears at moments that matter.
