Description

Bombing Prevention Awareness Course, Indirect Delivery will be offered March 22, 2019. To apply
for this class, follow the instructions below:
1. Have your FEMA SID number and password. You must have a FEMA SID number before you can apply for the class.
• If you need a FEMA SID number, go to: https://cdp.dhs.gov/FEMASID and click “Register for FEMA SID”
or click “Forgot FEMA SID?” if you have forgotten your FEMA SID.
• Registering for a FEMA SID number does not register you for this class. You must apply for the class
separately.

• Enter your FEMA SID and password.
• A CDP Training Registration System (TRS) application for 19I-0455 BPAC-2 will open.
• Complete the required fields.
• Click the "Review and Submit Application Now" button.

Course Description

The Bombing Prevention Awareness course provides an introduction to the terrorist attack cycle, an overview of IEDs and Homemade Explosives and a Response to Suspicious Behaviors and Items. This basic awareness is used to enhance bombing prevention measures. This course will be delivered by TSA. Wyoming P.O.S.T. credit is available.

Course Format and Audience

This is a one-day, in-person instructor-led training covering the following topics: IED construction and classification, IED explosive effects, HME and precursor awareness Introduction to the terrorist attack cycle, response to suspicious behaviors and items.

  • The Bombing Prevention Awareness Course (BPAC) is an introductory-level course for public and private sector critical infrastructure owners, operators, and response personnel. The course helps participants build a foundational understanding of how to identify and respond to an improvised explosive device (IED) threat
  • Audience: Critical infrastructure owners/operators, emergency managers, security officers, law enforcement officers, private sector security professionals, facility managers, school safety personnel

Course runs 0800-1700 with a one hour lunch break.
