Our theme, FORGING AHEAD TOGETHER: BUILDING EMPOWERED LEADERS, will allow us to navigate the changing landscape of higher education.

About this Event

ABOUT AWHE CONFERENCE: In keeping with the mission of the ACE Women's Network and AWHE, this annual conference is a two-day professional development experience that brings together higher education professionals from across the state of Arizona. The conference will allow us to navigate the changing landscape of higher education. Together, we will learn from one another, discuss the critical issues impacting our work and our lives, expand our professional skills, and network with new and established colleagues.

VENUE: Surrounded by refreshing ponderosa pine forests with picture perfect skies, the High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff offers a wonderful place to gather for learning and networking. High Country has earned Silver Tier Sustainability accreditation by the International Association of Conference enters (IACC). This rating ensures the highest level of quality and services, while successfully adhering to environmental and socially aware practices.

CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS: Whether you are an established professional or new to higher education, you have something to share with our community. Reflect on current issues impacting women in higher education, consider showcasing programs/initiatives that have had particular success on your campus, or simply expand on a personal or professional passion area so that others may learn from and with you during our time together. Online proposal submission form coming soon!

ADDITIONAL EVENTS

When you register for the conference, please let us know if you will be attending any of the following events.

Pre-Conference Welcome Reception: Wednesday, May 29th, 6:30 - 7:30 pm at the 1899 Bar & Grill. Join us for laughter & lively conversation before immersing yourself in our conference agenda! Many will carry our tab over to the dining area for dinner afterwards & would enjoy your company.

Networking Reception: Thursday, May 30th, 4:30 - 6:00 pm, High Country Conference Center. Join old and new colleagues for great conversations. Appetizers provided; cash bar available. Raffles prizes - must be present to win.

Leadership Team Dinner: Thursday, May 30th, 6:00 - 7:30 pm, 1899 Bar & Grill. In recognition of service to the network, Institution Representatives and Executive Board members are invited to a sponsored dinner. Cash bar available.

ATTENDEES & REGISTRATION

WHO ATTENDS: Open to everyone interested in advancing women in higher education, faculty and staff from across Arizona have attended. Last year, we had over 200 people in attendance, half from universities and half from community colleges.

REGISTRATION: All attendees and workshop presenters must register for the annual conference.

LODGING
