Bradford Young, award-winning cinematographer of SELMA, ARRIVAL, and SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY speaks about his career and films. This event, sponsored by the Johns Hopkins Film and Media Studies Program and the SNF Parkway Theatre, is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC thanks to its funding by the Saul Zaentz Foundation.

Bradford's is one of a series of Artist Talks from the ongoing Saul Zaentz Visiting Artist speaker series designed to celebrate film and media arts in Baltimore. It is programmed and run by the Johns Hopkins University Bachelor of Arts Program in Film and Media. https://krieger.jhu.edu/film-media/

He has twice won the Best Cinematography award at the Sundance Film Festival and has been nominated for the Academy Award, BAFTA award, American Society of Cinematographers award, and Critics Choice Movie award for Best Cinematography. He was nominated for the Academy Award for best cinematography for his work on Arrival.

He will do his Q&A in conversation with moderator, producer/artist/writer/curator Elissa Blount-Moorhead.

Follwoing the discussion will be the Baltimore premiere screening of AS TOLD TO G/D THYSELF, a film by the Ummah Chroma collective. RSVP for the screening here.
