Event description

Description

Accredited with City and Guilds the Award in Education and Training is the first stage to becoming a qualified teacher, this is not a full teaching qualification but an introduction and a foot in the door.

The course provides a detailed and intensive look at teaching, planning and assessing. In six short weeks you will progress from roles and responsibilities to delivering a fully planned and resourced micro teach session to your peers.
For large groups the micro teach sessions will be spread out over two weeks, please note that you will only be expected to attend one of the two micro teach sessions.

You will be expected to research, read and work on your assessments in your own time. Attendance at induction, all five input sessions and one micro teach is compulsory in order to achieve the full qualification.

Course modules:

* Induction
* Roles, responsibilities and relationships [Unit 301]
* Understanding inclusive learning and teaching approaches [Unit 302]
* Understanding inclusive learning and teaching approaches [Unit 302]

Progression: Certificate and Diploma in Education and Training. (formally CTLLS, DTLLS CertEd, PGCE)

Testimonials:
I feel that I have become a teacher as opposed to someone that just delivers some training. Gary Fox - Care Plus Service Improvement Manager

When I first attended the course I was unsure what to expect and how useful it would be. I am glad that the course exceeded my expectations, it really has been the best training course I have attended. I have learnt so much - Anonymous survey
