Event description

Description

Welcome to Part III of our Awake, Aware, Alive Series where women leaders are taking time for themselves in order to become their best selves. In the process, we are sharing, loving, supporting and empowering one another in order to have greater impact in our areas of influence.

During Part I, Erin Koss shared her personal story of becoming awake to her own life in order to get everyone thinking about their own story. Over the course of the evening, it was clear that these strong, capable, and influential women came to play! They leaned into the discussion, asked great questions, and it was clear that creating a safe space for women leaders to grow and evolve was something we all wanted.

In response to the feedback we received, we are changing things up for Part II, and we will be focused on doing the following:

  • Defining our purpose.
  • Define what it means to create a safe place for these important conversations; including agreeing to some ground rules for entering in and making sure each woman present knows, "we've got them" and are holding the things they share in confidence.
  • Have important conversations about what's important to us going forward.
  • And more...

Our specific agenda for this evening, Part III, will take into account any feedback we recieve from Part II, and we will update this event page as that develops.

A Bit More About My Story

I woke up 2 years ago.

Unfortunately, it took a traumatic event to do so. You can read more about my story, here. I encourage you to read it in order to see what's motivating me to create this event. Suffice to say, I’ve realized some things during the process:

  • The path to becoming our best requires waking up and becoming self-aware.
  • Coming alive and stepping into the fullest expression of our awesome self requires self-love and self-acceptance. We have to believe we matter, are enough, and are worthy of love and acceptance in order to become our highest self.
  • The journey is more easily traveled with others who are also awake. These people are lifelines during the process, and, eventually, you’ll get to pay it forward and be there for someone else.
  • Tribe matters. The path of awakening can be isolating. Like attracts like, and the people at home, at play, and at work may not know how to engage with the “new you”. And, they may not resonate the same way for you going forward. Expect some difficult conversations and difficult choices.
  • Everyone’s journey is unique. There are a fair number of things we have in common that impact the process, including family-of-origin, trauma, and significant relationships.
  • When I show up differently, it empowers others to do the same and allows us to engage and connect in a whole new way. This is where transformational change is possible, creating a ripple effect at home, work, and in this big world we share.

I hope you can join us. Feel free to invite a friend you think might appreciate our time together.

Sincerely Yours,

Erin
