Simon Leigh is a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor specializing in the treatment of Addictive Disorders. He qualified with a Masters Degree in Addiction Counselling and is both accredited by, and an examiner for, the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP). He also holds a CENAPS Certificate in Relapse Prevention Counselling.
Dispelling the myths and presenting the facts, Simon gives insight into the drugs’ education the children will be receiving in school, to encourage discussion at home. Parents will be able to ask questions to alleviate their concerns about the ever-increasing number of highs available to young people.
The evening presentation aims to keep parents abreast of what their child is learning, thus promoting open discussions at home. This will give you, as a parent, the opportunity to ask questions to alleviate any growing fears caused by the often tragic drug-related stories frequently reported in the media.
Open to parents at Akeley Wood School and parents from other schools.
