About this event
This workshop will educate you on steps to take now to avoid an unnecessary court-appointed adult guardianship for yourself or a loved one. You will hear from attorneys with the Guardianship Advocacy Program at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program.
Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to sit down with an attorney for a consultation and discuss document preparation.
In addition to this workshop, Legal Aid Center and its community partners will host a free workshop touching on the themes of "Supporting Independence in Young Adults with Disabilities" and "Avoiding Court Interventions as You Age" at East Las Vegas Library on February 4 (click here for details), and there is also a free, weekly guardianship class that you can attend online or in-person at the William S. Boyd School of Law (click here for details).
