Aviation Career Day 2017

This event is intended to expose boys and girls to AVIATION through challenging and exciting activities, while being surrounded by the history of Candler Field Museum. Our goal is to SPARK an interest in aviation to all who attend by introducing them to aviation in unique ways and educating them in a fun and supportive atmosphere! Students are free to come and go according to their schedule during the event hours. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn the Girl Scout Aviation Fun Patch by completing designated activities. All ages are welcome!
Youth attendees are required to register and will receive a t-shirt. Chaperones and guardians are not required to register for the event and will not receive an event t-shirt.
Are there ID requirements to enter the event?
There are no ID requirements for the General Admission ticket.
Is there an age limit to enter the event?
The event is open to all school grades and their chaperones.
What is the registration deadline?
Registration will be accepted up until the day before the event. However, you must register by March 22 to receive a t-shirt.
How much does the event cost?
The event is free.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Transportation is not provided for this event. Parking is available at no charge.
Can the child attendees be dropped off at the event?
No, the child attendees must be chaperoned at all times during the event. Students who drive themselves to the event do not require chaperones. We will be hosting Young Eagle Rides at this event. To participate in a Young Eagle Ride, students must have a parent/guarding present to sign a waiver.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Is lunch provided?
Lunch is not provided, however there is a restaurant onsite. Barnstormer's Grill will be open all day for your breakfast, lunch and dinner needs.
