Please ALLOW yourselves ample to for traffic and other time-consuming delays so that you don't miss anything. A few notes for your situational awareness: - SELF PARKING: This parking is FREE of charge in the lower level parking. Please (NOTE) that parking below will also means that you and your party will have to walk through the parking lot, take an elevator, to the lower lobby, then an escalator up to the Main Lobby. Driver’s you may want to consider dropping your guest off first at the Upper Level “B” Main Entrance where the Front Desk is located. If you go into the lower level entrance instead of the upper, do not worry. All your guest will have to do is take the escalator one flight to Main Lobby. Please inform your guest, especially, the ladies with long gowns and dresses to be CAREFUL with not getting their dresses caught on escalator stairs. We will have our folk’s position to direct traffic on lower level. - VALET PARKING: You do have the OPTION of Valet Parking as well. PRICE is $25 for the first 6hrs and $45 thereafter. - VIP RECEPTION: (Starts from 5:30pm – 6:45pm)If you are slated to attend the VIP Reception we will see you in the VIP THEATER LOUNGE on the Main Lobby (2nd Level). There will be a couple of AVB Representatives verifying your names and guiding you to the reception area entrance. - GENERAL ADMISSION REGISTRATION: Registration/General Admission for check in will open at 5:30pm and the doors to the GRAND BALLROOM will open at 6:00pm. - COAT CHECK: Coat check will be opened and manned with several AVB Representatives & JROTC Cadets. No fee will be charge. Donations are welcome, but NOT required. - PLAYTIME SITTERS: AVB has partnered with Play Sittersfor your Child Care while you enjoy AVB. This is a service that is offered to you by AVB FREE of charge. The location of this room will be on the Main Lobby as well. BEAU RIVAGE ROOM. Please advise AVB Staff at check in that your child is already registered. If you still need to register your child or have any questions please reach out to Khadijah Abdullah khadijah@psitters.com Contact # (703) 995-3925. - PHOTOS by PARTY FAVOR PHOTOS: AVB has contracted with this company to provide our attendees with an onsite Photo Booth FREE of charge during the event. You will also be allowed to print those photos on demand with an additional ability to share those photos instantly online via your social media platforms. NOTE: We ask that everyone be mindful and considerate that we will have over 500 attendees of whom each will like to take a picture of themselves and print as well. - Other PHOTOGRAPHERS & VIDEOGRAPHERS: AVB will have multiple media photographers and videographer’s onsite which will be capturing the magical moments. On occasion they may want to take a picture of you or ask you a question on video about AVB, the experience, and why you are attending AVB. If you will like for them not to take your picture or conduct a 30 sec interview, please kindly tell them so and they will comply. If you do decide to conduct one, we thank you in advance. - DRINKING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES (CASH & CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED): AVB wants ALL attendees to have a GREAT time, but we ask that if you drink alcoholic beverages that you be responsible drinker. Note that we will have youths from JROTC’s and other young teenagers attending the event in which we should always set the example. AVB is NOT a platform for a DRUNK FEST. If you need a ride because you’ve been drinking, please notify an AVB staff member and we will ensure that you get home safe and sound. Event description
The GOAL of the American Veterans Ball (AVB) is to CONNECT our PAST and PRESENT military professionals to the FUTURE leaders of America.

About this Event

The AVB was created to provide “ALL” veterans of the “Armed Forces” with the opportunity to participate in an annual service ball similar to our active service components. The most common denominator as veterans that we discovered, was that once we’d transitioned out of our respective branches of service, there was an immediate disconnection with these types of traditional and customary events of shared comradeship, in which we’ve always treasured. Yet, despite of this disconnection, whether in or out of the uniform, we still live out the values and way of life instilled in us as active leaders in our communities, workplace, and in every good endeavor.

The AVB will also serve out its MISSION by creating a pathway that will reignite, connect with, and maintain our patriotism with our fellow veterans through this unique event for years to come. Please join us in celebration in saluting and honoring our past, present, and future veterans. The AVB is open to “ALL” veterans (active, reserves, separated, or retired), their guest, civilian supporting arms, and the general public. We yield for your support in JOINING us and our VISION of fellowship as a Shared PATRIOTIC Investment.
