Please join us for an engaging evening of networking and learning with Greg Vangellow, CEO of RW Dake Construction

About this Event

Greg is the recent winner of Rochester Business Person of the Year and will share his journey and lessons learned.

Greg Vangellow

Founded in 1960, RW Dake Construction is a specialty general contractor operating out of seven regional offices across New York, New Jersey, Baltimore/DC and Philadelphia. RW Dake Construction delivers the experience, quality and safety our customers count on. Thanks to the highest quality craftsmanship, a strict attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach, RW Dake is an established construction leader across many industries – from banking to corporate to healthcare. Greg purchased RW Dake Construction in January 2002 at the age of 31 and currently serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Growing up the youngest of five kids, Greg was the beneficiary of what he refers to as the kitchen table MBA. Dinner conversations often focused on the businesses his father, uncles, grandfather and mother managed. His brothers and sisters were living case studies of what worked and what didn’t. At a young age, the thought of owning a business was normal and very real. It was only a matter of time before he found his own.

Greg has served on the Boards of the Mental Health Association and the Small Business Council and continues to be involved with each organization. Greg’s current charitable passion involves coordinating the logistics for the SBC Cares backpack give back and Thanksgiving appeal.
