Aromatherapy & Arthritis: Aromatherapy is a holistic approach to seeking improved physical, mental or emotional health. Essential Oils, used in aromatherapy, are organic compounds extracted from plants with tremendous healing properties. Join Cindy Copenhaver, a Licensed Massage Therapist, to learn about why some essential oils may be beneficial for arthritis pain and inflammation. There will be a brief discussion on arthritis and massage, along with a discussion on the use of essential oils. Then we’ll have some fun as you create your own personalized sample size lotions to try at home. Please, always be sure to check with your physician when adding an alternative option to your treatment plan. Instructor: Cindy Copenhaver

We will end the session with a brief meditation. Instructor: Elizabeth Moran

Saturday Workshop (for those staying overnight)

Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep, is a guided meditation practiced while lying down. The practice of yoga nidra brings the body into the deepest possible state of relaxation while remaining fully conscious. Our bodies relax into a sleep state while our minds remain fully awake. It is a way to become deeply attuned to our bodies and more consciously aware of our inner worlds, joining body, mind, and spirit as one. Its many benefits include strengthened immunity, reduced stress and an increased sense of well being. Instructor: Elizabeth Moran
