AUTUMN FUNDRAISER "Monster Retirement Home"
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Welcome to Dracula’s castle in Transylvania! There have been some major changes at the castle since you were last there. It seems that Dracula and his wife have turned it into a Retirement home for Monsters. The vampire couple now share their home with Frankenstein and his bride, a wolf woman, the Mad Scientist and Igor. Humor abounds in this Retirement Home as we explore life’s challenges with our beloved monsters as they face old age and the issues that go with it.
Oh, the horror! Catastrophes with no electricity, no running water, rodents, spiders, explosions from the laboratory, a menu approved by Dracula himself! …. and an overly zealous Activities Director. A mysterious woman arrives asking a lot of questions and they fear their precious home may be shut down. One of our monsters is lovesick but rebuffed. One visits a prestigious day spa. So, how do the monsters deal with old age issues? the zany activities director? Who is lovesick? Who is not? Will the Castle pass inspection or be shut down? To answer these questions …come knock on the castle door …and…..enter …for some side splitting comedy, if you dare.
Additional local talent to be showcased during this production include: Jason Battenfield's original music featured for preshow. Makeup artistry and original design for show flyer and program by David Richmond. Local photographer, Angenene Gibbs will do cast headshots for lobby presentation.
