Autism Spectrum Disorder: Diagnosis, Assessment and Treatment Planning to Address Communication, Sensory and Social Interaction Deficits

Presented by: Gina Cosgrove, Psy.D and Kelly Brock, BCBA, LBA

Learning Objectives – participants will be provided:

  • An overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including differentiation of symptoms between male and female youth
  • A review of diagnostic instruments that assist with early identification and treatment planning, including case examples utilizing the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) to assist with differential diagnosis and co-morbidity in ASD.
  • A comprehensive review of evidenced-based practices to address social and behavioral needs of children and adolescents with ASD, highlighting communication, behavior support, sensory strategies and social skill interventions
  • Practice (small group work) developing comprehensive treatment plans that integrate the diagnostic profile of youth on ASD

Complimentary lunch will be provided.

Applications for continuing education have been submitted to professional regulatory boards. Potential participants are encouraged to check for any updates regarding these approvals as the training date approaches. If approved, CE credit will be free of charge.
