Penguin Random House is thrilled to invite you to the Author University 2023 Bonus Session, “The Writing Life.”
On Wednesday, May 3rd, authors Deepa Anappara, Andrea Bartz and Taymour Soomro will be in conversation, discussing the ins and outs of the writing life and how to build community, find balance, and stay inspired.
- Deepa Anappara is an editor and contributor to Letters to a Writer of Color, a collection of essays on the power of literature and the craft of writing by an international array of authors of color. She is also the author of Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line.
- Taymour Soomro is also an editor and contributor to Letters to a Writer of Color. His short fiction has been published in The New Yorker, and he is the author of the novel Other Names for Love.
- Andrea Bartz is a Brooklyn-based journalist and New York Times bestselling author of We Were Never Here, The Lost Night, The Herd and her upcoming thriller, The Spare Room.

Registration gets you access to the panel. Prior to the event, you will receive one Zoom link via email. This event is completely free.
Registration is non-transferable, and it cannot be shared with anyone outside of Penguin Random House. Each registrant will be confirmed individually as an author. For those who can’t attend the panel live, a recording of the panel will be posted on the Author Portal.
There will be a Q&A portion to the session. Submit your questions for the panelists in advance to portaladmin@penguinrandomhouse.com.
