Lisa Fithian is an anti-racist organizer and social justice activist who has trained and organized a generation of civil disobedience and nonviolent direct action participants. Her book is Shut It Down: Stories from a Fierce, Loving Resistance. It is a veteran activist’s guide to direct action and strategic civil disobedience as the most radical and rapid means to social change.
