Event description

Description

Chicago chef Paul Kahan is legendary for cooking up amazing food at home while everyone—including him—is hanging out in the kitchen, talking, and having a great time. Cooking for Good Times shares Kahan’s best secrets for low-stress cooking for friends and family, using his program of twelve basic actions to mix and match (such as “Roast Some Roots, ”Make Some Grains,“ ”Braise a Pork Shoulder,“ and ”Make a Simple Dessert"). In every chapter, Kahan gives six to eight customizations for each core recipe for ways to make dishes seem new.

Come meet Paul, and Perry Hendrix, Chef de Cuisine at avec, at Read It & Eat's kitchen on November 6th! They'll give a lively talk about their new book, demo two great recipes, the Panzanella with Brussels Sprouts, Grilled Onions, and Crumbly Cheese and the Roasted and Marinated Beets with Burrata, Charred Kale, and Hazelnut Vinaigrette, and then stick around to sign your books!

Refund/cancellation policy: A refund, less Eventbrite’s processing fee, will be provided for cancellations requests received from customers up to one week (seven days) before the event. No refund or store credit will be provided for cancellation requests received less than a week before the event.

Note: To use the Eventbrite ticketing platform, Read It & Eat pays a fee, which varies depending on the price of the ticket. Read It & Eat guests never see the fees, as we absorb them instead of passing them on. In the past, Eventbrite refunded these fees if a refund request was made. They have recently changed their policy and are no longer refunding their fees. Therefore, requests for refunds within the policy will be honored, less the ticketing fee, for which Eventbrite will not issue a refund.
