Authentic Youth Inclusion in Policy and Practice

About this Event

What is it like being a young person having to interact with systems that are supposed to help you but instead confuse you, or in the worst cases, add stress or trauma?

Come find out on November 22!

Join the Young Adult Leadership Committee and local advocates and homeless service professionals for the Authentic Youth Inclusion in Policy & Practice Summit at the Hive @ Spring Point, located in the Graham Building at 30 South 15th street, 4th floor.

The event focuses on how government agencies, partner organizations, policymakers, young leaders, and service providers can work together to incorporate more youth inclusive strategies and practices to help prevent, service, and respond to homeless youth. There will be a raffle, food, music, along with the following activities.

Simulation: Walk a mile in a young adult's shoes and experience what trying to access social services can be like.

Panel discussion: Dialogue to identify opportunities where governments and partner organizations can learn about practices, resources, and strategies that can help prevent and respond to youth and young adult homelessness.

Questions? Contact Liam Spady, CoC Youth System Intern, at Liam.spady@phila.gov. or 215-686-7117.
