Description

The Australian Brain Alliance EMCR Network is hosting a FREE showcase of some of the best Victorian brain science research.

We welcome all to attend, whether you are an EMCR, or more senior, and work in the field of brain sciences. Speakers are:

  • Dr Bhavna Atony, IBM Research, The retina as a surrogate for the brain

  • Associate Professor Lucy Palmer, Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, Probing neural and dendritic modulation during sensory-based behaviour

  • Associate Professor Alex Fornito, Monash University, Mapping the human connectome with MRI

  • Associate Professor Sharath Sriram, RMIT, Electronics as artificial synapses: Brain-inspired memories and networks

  • Dr Rebecca Segrave, Monash University, BrainPark: where neuroscience meets industry, healthcare and the community to create healthy habits, brains and lifestyles

  • Dr Nicholas Opie, Melbourne University, The stentrode brain machine interface

Each presenter will provide a 10 minute talk on their area, followed by a networking event.
