AustinUP is working to provide information and resources to help older job seekers and entrepreneurs.
About this event
The format for this virtual version of our 50+ Job Fair is a one-hour Zoom meeting featuring up to three employers talking about their companies, staffing needs and application process, and answering questions from potential applicants. Each employer will speak for 20 minutes.
SPEAKERS
- Myles Wallace works in recruiting and business development at Peak Performers, a nonprofit staffing firm in Austin that recruits for contract, temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire positions in the State of Texas and other local government agencies.
- Right at Home - Austin provides in-home care to older adults. Anna Rose, General Manager, will tell us about their job openings.
- Faith Foote will represent SendaRide, a customized non-emergency medical transportation service. SendaRide recently received a grant through Austin City:One and has partnered with Meals on Wheels Central Texas, United Way and several other non-profit groups in the Austin area to help serve those who don’t have transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, church, etc. We are looking for drivers who are interested in earning extra income.
