八年前的冬至飯，一連串事件引爆各人抑壓多時的情緒，最後舅父遠走他國，兒子離家出走，夫妻相見如冰。八年過去，每個人都在面對人生的改變，然而「家」和「家人」像一條無形的鎖鏈綑綁心頭。表妹忽然從外國回港，期望與他們食一次冬至飯。久違的飯局邀約，逼使眾人正視一直逃避的問題，成為這個家庭修補關係的契機。

Synopsis:
Yeung’s family has been torn apart ever since a turbulent winter solstice dinner. Eight years later, his cousin returns to Hong Kong in the hope of reconciling the long-lasting feud over another traditional festive gathering. Can the years of pain and remorse bring the family together again? Hong Kong Family, the directorial debut of Eric Tsang, is an authentic and heart-wrenching look at the nature and complexity of family.
