Austin Diversity Hack
Date and time
Description
Austin Diversity Hack
Join WWCode Austin for our first diversity hackathon! #atxdivhack
This hackathon is a celebration of diversity. Anyone who supports diversity is welcome. We are providing a space for people of all backgrounds who want to start building their tech portfolio or finish up a tech project while learning new skills. Previous experience in tech is not required. If you are an advanced coder, we are looking for mentors. We are also looking for volunteers. If you are nervous about attending a hackathon, just volunteer and see what it is all about!
Our goal with this hackathon is to help create a more vibrant and diverse Austin tech scene. Please RSVP, spread the word -- and bring a friend!
Instructions
- Create a Github account (tutorial: http://bit.ly/1HzJQzt)
Tech Portfolio Ideas
- Build a CRUD app (create, read, update, delete)
- Build anything you want
- Build new features for an existing app
- Potential ideas: my favorite Austin places app, my favorite sports team trivia app, my to do list app, my grocery store list app, etc.
