Description

Austin Design Week 2017 Presents: City of Austin Design, Technology, & Innovation Fellows Project Tour

Organized by: City of Austin Design, Technology & Innovation Fellows

The City of Austin’s Design, Technology, and Innovation Fellows program provides an opportunity for Austin’s passionate and civic-minded designers and developers to bring the principles, values, and practices of the technology sector into government.

Cities have the greatest ability to connect with the people they serve, but old ways of communicating are holding us back. We're coaching city of Austin authors on how to shift away from policy-driven content and towards welcoming, accessible, and people-oriented content. Visit us at City Hall to hear about our approach, learnings, and how we're building our authors' ability to write for Austin residents. If you’re a City of Austin employee, you’re invited to an Innovation Workshop: How to Prototype and Test People-Oriented Digital Content. Email Celine Thibault to sign up.

Facilitators: Celine Thibault, Research and Design Fellow; Laura Trujillo, Content Strategist Fellow; Ashlee Harris, Content Educator and Public Information Specialist
