Event description

Description

Aurora Water’s Environmental Services division invites you to join us for a special training on stormwater pond maintenance. Stormwater ponds are located throughout the city, and if you have one on your property, it’s your job to ensure it operates properly.

These ponds are critical in slowing down fast moving stormwater, which helps prevent flooding. They also help trap the sediment, trash and debris that stormwater tends to pick up as it moves, ensuring our rivers and streams don’t become polluted. Without routine maintenance, these ponds can become expensive to rehabilitate. Let us help you understand how to plan for these important maintenance tasks.

We are offering the training sessions at 2 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 at the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, Aurora, 80012. Participants only need to attend ONE session. The meeting will be held in the Aurora Room, located in the southeast corner of the Aurora Municipal Center. Please contact Kat Olson at kolson@auroragov.org for more information.
