The Augusta HBCU 5K Fun Run/Walk will be the first of an annual event for the Greater Augusta HBCU Alumni Alliance. Funds raised will provide scholarships for high school seniors who attend Historically Black Colleges and Universities. It also will provide an opportunity for HBCU alumni to come together for a common fun event and promote their respective university. The schedule of events is:
7:00AM Race packet pickup 8:00AM Runners start 8:05AM Walkers start 9:00AM Health fair
Race participation is open to everyone and all age groups. Be sure to wear your school logo and colors.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place metals will be awarded to male and female overall winners. Award metals will also be given to winners in several categories. All registered participants will receive a tee shirt.
The health fair will start at 9:00 A.M. and end at 12:00 P.M. It is free to the public. All events will take place rain or shine Sorry, we cannot offer refunds.

The Greater Augusta HBCU Alumni Alliance
The Greater Augusta HBCU Alumni Alliance was organized as a Non-profit orginazation in 2013. Our purpose is to promote a greater awareness of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the community and encourage high school students to attend an HBCU upon graduation. We award financial scholarships to prospective high school seniors planning to attend an HBCU. We also participate in and sponsor an HBCU college fairs each year.
