August Supper Series: an Afternoon Eastside Fish Fry w/ Chefs Chris Vandersloot (Sauvage) and Shannon Martin (SE Wine Collective)
SE Wine Collective winemaker Tom Monroe recently made his first trip to Alaska with his Dad to visit cousins in the commercial fishing business on Kodiak Island. Needless to say, fishing madness ensued and we all get to reap the 50+ pounds bounty of wild Salmon and Halibut!
To end the summer with a bang before the kids head back to school, the winemakers begin the annual harvest ritual and the northwest rains pour in, we bring to you a very special August Supper Club Series: an Afternoon Eastside Fish Fry on a late August afternoon!
Guests will be treated to a three course meal with a choice of beer battered fried Halibut or lemon basil grilled Salmon accompanied with seasonal veggies and finished off with seasonal Oregon fruit crumble with vanilla ice cream. We will recap all of the 2013 Guest Winemakers with $8 glass pours of all wines still available while supplies last. To add to the excitement, Collective Operations Manager Mikey D will be running Corn Hole and Bubbles Pong tournaments with cash and Collective wine prizes for the winners - only $5 to enter!

When & Where
SE Wine Collective
The Southeast Wine Collective was founded in 2012 by Kate and Thomas Monroe of the acclaimed Division Winemaking Company in a response to a growing public interest in urban wineries. Their goal is to bring together like-minded wineries who are sustainably growing their business through commercial custom crush wine production, wine sales and events in an area of SE Portland that already hosts a thriving restaurant and nightlife scene. Currently the collective is made up of four wineries: Division Winemaking Company, Bow & Arrow, Vincent Wines and Helioterra Wines.. As the collective grows, so will its community focus: they will open a tasting room/wine bar and host large and small events, wine release parties and pop-up dinners. Additionally, they will work to be an incubator for future wine brands and budding industry ideas. In short, the Southeast Wine Collective’s unique strength is in the sum of its very talented parts.
