August Luncheon: Media Training for the Trainer
You wouldn't dream of sending out a press release without careful thought and review. So, why unleash your spokesperson on the media without performing the same due diligence? If your spokesperson says the wrong thing in a media interview, not only do you risk sabotaging your company's reputation and your own credibility, but you also have to face ongoing media coverage and archives that never go away.
Media relations is an integral part of PR. Once you land that interview opportunity, do you know how to prepare your spokesperson? Do you know how to make them comfortable in front of the camera? Having a spokesperson who is confident makes your message more confident. Join PRAL and Stephanie Riegel for media training on how to train the PR practitioner, who then trains the company spokesperson. Advanced preparation is often overlooked, but this session will help to develop, or sharpen, skills that are vital to media interview success.
