The Details
Speaker: Jean-Georges Perrin - Senior Enterprise Architect focusing on data innovation at The NPD Group and the author of Spark in Action, 2nd edition (Manning)
Topic: It's painful how much data rules the world
Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) needs data. AI needs a lot of data. However, data is hard and painful; it does not have to be this way.
In this packed session, I will teach you how to build a complete data pipeline, from raw data to AI. I will apply data quality rules. I will be using Apache Spark, Java, real-life datasets, and advanced Machine Learning (ML) techniques.
This talk will be about data, but it will also include many tips, knowledge bytes, and boring theory (finally) made palatable.
Join us for an evening of learning and fun!
Takeaways:
- Building an efficient modern data pipeline.
- Understanding the vocabulary of modern & cloud data platforms.
Audience:
- Software & data engineers.
- Software & data architects.
- Technical leads & managers.
- Product owners.
Book and Swag Giveaway:
We/the ATO team will give away a good amount of swag at this event, to include shirts, hats, socks and a few posters from 2020 (they are beautiful).
We'll also giveaway a (limited) number of signed books written by Jean-Georges and published by Manning - Spark in Action, Second Edition (https://www.manning.com/books/spark-in-action-second-edition)
