Description

Auditions Public Health Portland Style - Student Voices: Racism & Public Health in Oregon

This is your chance to particpate in the famous Public Health Portland Style events hosted by the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and work with professionals in the field and a professional speech and performance coach! We invite students to give a 3-5 minute pitch on the topic of racism & public health in Oregon that either defines the problem, tells a personal story or encourages a call to action. You can express yourself in any creative way, through either song, dance, a children’s book, poems, art or a TED talk style talk!

There will be a panel of community members, SPH faculty, and students. The panel will select 4 students that will present at Public Health Portland Style on Thursday February 15th form 6pm to 7.30pm at the NW Lucky Lab.

Students that are selected will have the benefits of working with a professional speech coach and a guest speaker to make the evening successful. For questions: please contact sphcomms@ohsu.edu.

Don't feel like auditioning? Everyone is welcome! Feel free to join us this evening and be part of the audience to support our students! Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
