Michele McGonigle De Young Michele McGonigle De Young is a Grammy and Audie Award winning audiobook producer, director, sound editor, mixer, composer, and sound designer. She is the Executive Director of Production, Executive Producer for Hachette Audio and has been nominated for eight Grammys in her various roles, winning three. Hachette Audio and Michele have won the Audie Award for Audiobook of the Year three years in a row. Michele began her career 16 years ago, first working at Talking Book Productions, then at Audible.
She has performed around NYC and the Metropolitan area in several bands, playing bass and singing. Michele studied Advertising and Marketing Communications at FIT and has a diploma in Audio Technology from SAE Institute; in 2012 she was the recipient of the SAE Alumni Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Post-Production. Michele is the mother of two young children and is becoming an expert in life-work balancing.
