Audience Now Workshop
Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (PST)
Costa Mesa, CA
A workshop for arts organization staff & boards
Learn strategies to develop a "whole-organization"
approach to building and sustaining your audiences
The job of attracting and sustaining audiences doesn’t belong exclusively to your marketing department. Today’s complex world demands a whole-organization commitment to engaging audiences.
Who should attend: Executive Directors, Artistic Directors, Curators, Development & Marketing Leaders, & Board Members
You and your team will learn:
• How to transform audience engagement from a “push” to a “pull” paradigm
• How to create & use audience personas
• How to connect audiences to your organization’s mission
• How to make audience-building a priority for everyone in your organization
Workshop will be led by Matt Lehrman, Principal of Audience Avenue, LLC. Matt Lehrman returns to Orange County where he previously conducted a sold-out one-hour presentation on audience development for Arts Orange County. Now he has even more to share in his new three-hour workshop. With nearly 20 years of arts marketing experience, Matt Lehrman brings entrepreneurial energy and grassroots organizing acumen to the most profound challenges of audience-building. He is a marketing expert and passionate champion for the cause of audience-building for arts organizations and cultural destinations. "Mission through Marketing" is the philosophy of his firm, which offers strategic planning, leadership coaching, and marketing consulting services nationally. However you define your audience-building imperative - attracting attendees, selling tickets, serving visitors, cultivating donors, growing members, engaging stakeholders and raising public awareness - the opportunities have never been greater.
