Description

The Food Drive involves two days: one to deliver empty bags to neighborhoods (can be done Sept 7 to 15) and one to pick up filled bags (Sept 14-22). Empty bags with flyers attached can be picked up by request on or after September 7.

Food drive benefits the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet.

Teams of 3-5 people (including a driver) are ideal. Each team would be assigned a neighborhood to deliver and pick up filled bags. This is a perfect event for a family, friends, youth group, or an organization.

Each team needs a person who is willing to receive the packet of information and share that with the rest of the team. The team leader needs to make sure one of the team members can be the driver and should be present on both days.

Where do I go to pick up the instructions for the food drive?

Representatives will be at the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet, 12972 Earhart Avenue, Ste 301 (behind Moonraker's) at 9 am. on September 14 to hand out the materials, map, and instructions. and after 11 am on September 21 to received filled bags. Other arrangements can be made by request.

What can I bring into the event?

No additional flyers may be attached to the grocery bags.

What Should I bring?

Wear good walking shoes. Water if it is hot.
