Auburn’s Home Town Hero and Congressional Gold Medal Honoree and Triple Ace P-51 Pilot, Col. Bud Anderson will be a featured presenter telling dog fighting stories, showing his PowerPoint about his military service in WWII being held in a Hanger.  He will be signing copies of his book, “To Fly and Fight, Memories of a Triple Ace”.

Why should families attend the Auburn Air Fair in 2016?

  • Our main attraction this year is one you won’t want to miss! Join us to witness the exhilaration and skill of the world’s best parachute team, the U.S. Golden Knights. By 1962, the team earned the nickname the "Golden Knights". "Golden" signified the gold medals the team had won while "Knights" alluded to the team’s ambition to conquer the skies.

Since then, the Golden Knights have conducted more than 16,000 shows in 50 states and 48 countries, reaching an average of 60,000 people per show. The team has earned the U.S. Army 2,148 gold, 1,117 silver, and 693 bronze medals in national and international competition. Team members have also broken 348 world records.

Auburn’s Home Town Hero and Congressional Gold Medal Honoree and Triple Ace P-51 Pilot, Col. Bud Anderson will be a featured presenter. Come experience the air to air combat story of WWII Triple Ace P-51 pilot and Auburn’s Hometown Hero, Col. Bud Anderson, at 94, he is one of the most celebrated, decorated and sought after WWII speakers in the world.  He frequently travels to Europe, Hawaii, Florida, Washington DC, and Oshkosh Wisconsin to tell his story.  Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to see him in person.

We are proud to present a pre-show Friday, October 7th at 3PM, located at the Auburn Airport,  We have been lucky to secure Mark S. Allen as our celebrity jumper to tandem with one of the U.S. Army’s finest, the Golden Knights.
