The Cafe Mocha Radio Show, locally heard Saturdays from 7-9 a.m. on WHUR-FM 96.3, will host Salute Her: Superwomen Making a Difference Awards Reception & Luncheon fundraiser and celebration will bring together Black and Latino women in the Washington, DC area. Sponsored by Hyundai Motor America, the afternoon also will include a surprise special musical tribute.
The special afternoon will celebrate outstanding women:Sybrina Fulton, Co-Founder of The Trayvon Martin Foundation; Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, Television Personality, Professor and Ordained Minister; Triscina Grey, Veteran Radio Personality on WHUR-FM; Stacey Ferguson, Chief Curator of National Multicultural Digital Organization ‘Blogalicious’; Ida Lewis-Polite, President of Ida’s Idea Clothing; Esther Aguilera, President/CEO Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute; Michel Wright, Radio Personality of MAJIC 102.3 & SiriusXM; and Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning, Co-Pastor of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church.
