Aims

Objectives

  • To highlight the range of attachment types and how children develop particular strategies to ensure their needs are met.
  • To demonstrate how these strategies become a blueprint for relationships and the importance of adopting new patterns of engaging with others and building positive self perceptions.
  • Explore the PACE, therapeutic parenting and emotion coaching models as approaches that facilitate the development of new strategies, emotional connections and positive relationships.
  • Consider how to incorporate PACE into caring/teaching children.
