ATT Bridge Celebration Bike Ride

Celebrate the newly-opened bridge on the American Tobacco Trail over I-40 with a bike ride hosted by BPAC and the East Coast Greenway Alliance. Thank you to the Carolina Tarwheels for your funding support, to REI for providing a rest stop and bike checks!
The ride is FREE, with 30- and 15-mile options, starting from Downtown or South Durham and riding the the ATT to Chatham County and back. The ride will be leisurely paced, and is on a multi-use trail. Family friendly, but not recommended for very young children. Helmets Required.
- 30 miles round trip - starts at noon at the ATT trailhead on Blackwell St.at Moorehead in downtown Durham. (Registration starts 11:30)
- 15 miles round trip - starts at 1:00 PM at 5315 Highgate Dr. near the intersection of Highway 54 in South Durham. (Registration starts 12:30)
Light snacks and water provided at Highgate Drive and the turn-around point. REI will provide a rest stop and bike checks at the turn around. Volunteers from the Durham Bike Coop and Bike Durham are providing support during the ride.
Parking is available at either of the ride start locations.
