Join us at Philly Typewriter on Sunday, December 18th at 6pm for the first installment of Atop An Underwood Reading Series.
Hosted by Dream Poet For Hire
The night will celebrate 100 years of Jack Kerouac, from which the reading series gets its name, with beat-inspired spoken word and typewriters to create our own original scroll like On The Road. Aspiring beatniks, jazz heads, and general poetry lovers all are welcome.
Come for the featured readers and stay for the open mic. Also please bring your poetry, short stories, personal philosophies, and songs to share. This will be a casual night, with lots of warmth and good fun. A perfect community to try your hands at a typewriter and find your voice in a poem.
