The plaque commemorates the August 1941 "Atlantic Conference" - the ship-board meeting of UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and US President Franklin Roosevelt that produced the historic Atlantic Charter setting out eight basic principles for which the free world was fighting, and which would guide the construction of a new international order, “The United Nations,” when the war was won.

NOTE: THIS TICKET IS FOR THE 4:30 p.m. OUTDOOR COMMEMORATION EVENT ONLY.

SEPARATE ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE FOR DINNER FOLLOWING THE COMMEMORATION EVENT. FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING THE DINNER, VISIT www.winstonchurchillcanada.ca.
