Slow Art Day participants are invited to explore the following works at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art:


Albrecht Dürer’s “Saint Jerome in his Study” (1514) a 500-year-old “Master Engraving” on view in the exhibition “Paper & Ink: New Print Acquisitions from the High Museum of Art



Frederic Remington’s bronze sculpture The Rattlesnake” (1905) on view in the “Go West!” exhibition




The wood, fiber and pigment “Kakuungu Mask” (late 1800s to early 1900s) by a Suku Artist of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on view in the exhibition “African Mask/Masquerade: More Than Meets the Eye” (an Africa Atlanta 2014 event)




Julie Mehretu’s “Mogamma (A Painting in Four Parts) (Part II)” (2012) a recently acquired work on view in the Wieland Pavilion Skyway Level galleries




Abelardo Morell’s inkjet print “Cutout in Print with Trees Behind” (2013) on view in the exhibition “The Universe Next Door
