The Macular Degeneration Association is proud to announce the launch of our 2016 Awareness Program Series titled : "Preserve Your Sight"
The Macular Degeneration Association will be returning to beautiful Atlanta-Buckhead, GA on Saturday, October 1st, 2016.
We will be hosting a FREE awareness program covering the following subjects: age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and Eye Vitamins: Helpful or Harmful?.
This program will start at 8:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast and will end at 11:45 a.m.
The Macular Degeneration Association provides a supportive learning environment for people living with macular degeneration, diabetic eye diseases and all visual disorders.
This half-day program offers a forum to hear from a prominent doctor about the latest research, new treatments, therapies, and clinical trials.
At our programs you will hear from a patient ambassador about their journey with their disease and their successful coping strategies.
You will also have the chance to speak with other participants to learn about their successes and failures.
Local vendors will be available to share valuable information.
Guest speakers: Retina Specialist Brenda Myers- Powell, MD.She will be speaking about age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Greg Hines who will be spaeking about: Eye Vitamins: Helpful or Harmful?.

Brenda Myers-Powell, MD PhD, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, subspecializes in uveitis (ocular inflammation) and vitreoretinal surgery. She has accomplished a successful blend of academia and private practice through consultation and teaching which has enhanced her expertise. After practicing for more than eight years in the Northwest, she now dedicates herself to her vision of Compassionate Excellence Always in Retina and Uveitis care as the owner of Retina Specialists Northwest, PLLC.
