Martin Luther King Jr. stated, “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.”
Join us on Monday, January 21, 2019, for the 3rd Annual Athens MLK Day Parade and Music Fest. Local citizens, business owners, community leaders, and various organizations are welcomed to participate. All ages welcomed. Participants must walk in a unified group.
Rules/Regulations:
- Limited motorized vehicles (7-10 allowed) per entry fee
- Must have positive signage
- No more than 25 people in a unit, no more than 10 in a row during the parade
- No individual may walk in the parade must be in a group/organization
- Entry Fee must be paid by January 15, 2019 (extended to the 20th)
Parade participants check-in begin at 1:30 pm. Meet in front of Morton Theatre
Vendors: Check at Max Canada. Please arrive no later than 1:30 pm for set-up Vendors must provide their own table, tenting, and cannot sell alcohol. (Food vendors must bring container/trash bags for disposal items such as trash or food)
