TEAM MAY REGISTER THE DAY OF THE EVENT STARTING AT 1:30
What is “HUNT FOR HOPE”?
“HUNT FOR HOPE” is a community wide scavenger hunt to raise awareness and funds to support the fight against breast cancer. All proceeds benefit "One Day for Mammograms" a program that provided mammograms to 140 uninsured women last year.
Who can participate in “HUNT FOR HOPE”?
Teams of all ages compete for points by hunting all over the Classic City for items, and snapping pictures at various iconic Athens landmarks and other locations.
Teams will compete for first, second, and third place prizes. The teams with the most points in the shortest amount of time will win. Winning teams will get to choose from the one of three prizes.
Teams can consist of as many people you can legally fit into a vehicle, but no more than seven people per team. Registration is $50 per team. All registration fees benefit One Day for Mammograms.
How does “HUNT FOR HOPE” work?
Simply register above. Once you have done so, the event organizer will be notified and ongoing communications will begin. Teams are encouraged to register early and will receive additional clues each week that will help their team earn additional points.
The day of the event, teams will gather in the front of the Athens Banner-Herald Building to receive information, review guidelines, and receive a list of approximately 50 items and clues around town.
Check-in will begin at 1:30 p.m. At check-in, teams will be given a sealed list of items to be collected.
At 2:00 pm teams will open their envelopes and head out all over the Classic City. Their goal will be to find as many of the items on the list as possible within two hours.
