Please join us to hear from female entrepreneurs Chrys Sullivan, founder of Useagility, and Lacey Ellis, founder of LittleHootz. Sullivan, an established entrepreneur, will share some of the lessons she has learned building her company into a top user experience firm in the Midwest region with a number of Fortune 500 clients. Ellis, who just recently launched LittleHootz, will discuss why she left her day job to focus full-time on her new venture.
About Athena League Speaker Series
Athena League hosts a monthly speaker series, featuring one established female entrepreneur or professional and one aspiring female entrepreneur who each share their stories. Together, they focus on resources used to start their business, discuss mentors along the way, share challenges experienced as women entrepreneurs, and provide insight and guidance. These events raise awareness of the amazing women who work to build our Silicon Prairie. While we’ve made great strides in sharing our story regionally and nationally, there is still much work to do – especially for women entrepreneurs. Athenas will work to promote the innovative women through these events.

WHAT WE DO
Great things are born out of diversity, so it’s key to support and encourage female entrepreneurs’ leap of faith to unleash their economic power. Together with our partners and friends, Athenas help influence Kansas City’s effort to become “America’s Most Entrepreneurial City.” Through our blog, social media efforts and programs, we work to share the stories of the women who build our Silicon Prairie.
