Event description

Description

At The Crossroads has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build our new home and expand our services for San Francisco’s most disconnected homeless youth. We’re excited to share this opportunity and have you participate!

Join us on October 26 from 6:00 - 8:30 PM for an evening generously donated by GitHub. Learn about the long-lasting impact of ATC’s new home and how you can help address homelessness in San Francisco by investing in an organization that has supported young people in moving beyond the streets for the last 20 years.

Our programming features three influencial individuals: District 6 Supervisor Jane Kim, President of the Akonadi Foundation Lateefah Simon, and former ATC client and community advocate Julia Arroyo. You will also be the first to watch ATC’s new client video.

In order to reach our event’s $100,000 goal, we will be asking you to dig deep. Your attendance and support will launch us into the final stretch of our Building Home Campaign. Together, we have the opportunity to prevent young people from growing up or growing old on the streets.

Your generosity at the Building Home Fundraiser will have a major impact on the buildout and design of our new office as well as on our work with San Francisco's disconnected youth for years to come. Here are some examples of what your donation will help fund:

  • A $10,000 investment will furnish and decorate a warm and welcoming waiting area. Currently, clients wait by the elevator or outside and there's no comfortable place to sit; in our new space, when a client comes to our office, they will have the option to sit down and relax before meeting with a counselor.

  • A donation of $5,000 will allow us to commission a new community mural by a local artist in our new space. Not only do we want our clients to feel safe at our office, but we want to welcome them into a beautiful space that shows that history of ATC and is inclusive of the diverse cultures and backgrounds of our community.

  • With a gift of $2,500, we will be able to provide an entire year of intensive support for one client. This covers the food, supplies, and counselor's salary that it takes to work one-to-one with a client.

  • A $1,000 donation will enable is to install one set of pantry shelves for our client "grocery store" where clients select their weekly groceries. New, sturdy shelving will send the message to our clients that the food they are choosing is high quality and fresh.
