Learn how to preserve food! This 4 part series will help you increase your food access using safe, tested protocols that are easy to learn and follow. Please note: This is an asynchronous option and there are no live classes. Instead, you will receive a link to join a Google Classroom which includes a wide variety of publications, links, recipes, and other materials for each of the four classes, plus a link to a recorded class. You have access to view this recording through May 2026. To register, select only one date for your ticket and check out--this includes all four class recordings.
The course includes:
Class 1 Water Bath Canning-learn to preserve jams, jellies, salsa, canned tomatoes, and more
Class 2 Pressure Canning-learn to preserve low-acid foods such as vegetables, meats, soups, and more
Class 3 Fermentation and Pickling-we'll learn all about sauerkraut and learn to ferment and make quick pickles and more!
Class 4 Freezing, Drying, and Root Cellars-learn about other food storage methods including freezing, drying, root cellars and other microclimate storage, learn to reduce food waste and store food efficiently!
