Registration is Open for Astoria Investor Forum 2017 on December 7-8

Featured Speakers Include:

  • A keynote interview of Dan Quayle, Chairman of Cerberus Global Investments, former Vice President of the United States by Yoichi Takita, Senior Staff Writer at Nikkei will appear live on December 7th.

  • David Snow of Privcap will be moderating a panel of LPs from North America and Japan at the LP Workshop on December 7th. From North America there will be high-profile LPs (ILPA member firms) joining the panel. From Japan there will be two Japanese panelists from a Japanese financial institution and a pension fund.

•Live panel and video interviews with influential speakers from overseas with a use of video conference technology:

We will organize live as well as video interviews with prominent LPs and GPs from the remote locations on both days at the AIF 2017.

Real-time polling and Q&A from your smartphonein 2017:

We will be conducting polling, audience survey and handling Q&A from your smartphones, tablets or PCs this year. We will still have microphones at the venue if you prefer to speak up. We expect a lot more audience participation this year. (Thus, no more workshop format in 2017!)

•Online conference book:

The conference book will be made downloadable to your personal electronic device. Printed program leaflet will still be distributed at the registration desk.

Type 1 Pass: Invitation from Sponsors and Supporting Organizations - COMP PASS
Pension Fund Investor, Institutional Investors (balance sheet investors), FSA licensed Discretionary Investment Managers (DIMs) such as asset managers or Trust Banks who can work with external advisors or invest in external single fund managers (GPs)

Type 2 Pass: Paid Registration to AIF 2017
Foreign or Domestic GPs/FOFs/Advisors & their Japanese branch offices, FSA licensed DIMs with exclusive representation with an affiliated entity, Financial Instruments Businesses or Investment Advisors, Lawyers, Accountants, Pension Fund Consultants

Type 3 Pass: Guest Invitation by Astoria - COMP PASS
Any Type 1 qualified entities who wish to be invited by Astoria; or any special guests of Astoria (please contact for details).

AIF last December welcomed over 220 senior decision makers from all over the world and with nearly 160 Japanese LPs and their fiduciaries attended the event - this meant over 2/3 delegates had buy-side interest when participated in AIF. Program Outlines:

The AIF 2017 programs will focus on growth and income strategies in the private capital investing during the event. Growth strategies includes PE, Growth Capital and Value-Add investing in Infrastructure/Private RE. Income strategies include Private Debt (Mezzanine & Credit) and Core/Core+ investing in Infrastructure/Private RE.

An LP Only Workshop will be Hosted on both days:
There will be two LP only workshops planned from 8am to 8:50am on both days. One of the workshops will be participated by leading LPs from North America using web conferencing technology.

About Astoria Investor Forum:

Originally launched as "Astoria Private Equity Forum" in Japan in 2002, the name "Astoria" has become the most recognized name among LPs in Japan as the foremost organizer of investor education seminars. Now rebranded as the Astoria Investor Forum (AIF) as of 2011, it has widened the scope of assets to include Infrastructure, Private Debt, Private Real Estate in addition to Private Equity in the conference program.
