ACSSJ's National Gathering brings colleagues together from the nine member colleges and universities founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph.

About this Event

Join the Association of Colleges of Sisters of St. Joseph (ACSSJ) for the 2019 National Gathering at Regis College in Weston, MA.

The National Gathering is for administrators, staff and faculty members who want to deepen their knowledge of the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph to inform their work and interested in connecting with colleagues to forge collaborations.

The National Gathering will bring colleagues together from the nine member colleges and universities founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph. The keynote speaker will be Mary M. McGlone, author of Anything of Which a Woman is Capable: A History of the Sisters of St. Joseph in the United States. Other conference sessions will feature a panel of presidents, presentation on Catholic intellectual tradition, a spirituality of inclusion, best practices, diving deeper into the charism, provide opportunities for networking and more.

Attendees will:

-deepen their understanding of and commitment to the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph,

-engage with peers from other ACSSJ colleges and universities,

-inspire and encourage participants to collaborate on the charism and academic programs, and

-leave with best practices, tools and strategies to support collaboration and integrating the charism into their work.

Faculty members are invited to participate in an institute embedded in the 2019 National Gathering. This program will begin early on Monday, June 10 at 1pm. Faculty participants will meet as a cohort to explore how to live out the Sisters of St. Joseph charism and the Catholic intellectual tradition in our teaching, research, and service. Attendees will be asked to integrate this new knowledge into their teaching and scholarship and walk away with a plan for implementation in the next academic year. This program is inspired and partially funded by Collegium.
