Ted Neustadt, Associate Director of Legal Writing at Fordham University, presents on Memo Writing.
Brief Writing: Learn tips on how to compose briefs that are informative and persuasive, as well as interesting and succinct. Professor of Lawyering Skills and Strategies, Lisa Tilton-McCarthy, is lecturing.
Persuasive Communication: Persuasion, not power, is the key to becoming a successful attorney. This portion of the boot camp will cover the four ways to compel people to take action, as well as 14 tools of persuasion. Financial Terminology and Concepts: Learn key financial and accounting concepts along with a primer on reading a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement. Reuben Advani, President of BARBRI Financial Skills Institute, lectures on Financial Literacy.
How to Succeed and Stand Out as the Go-To Associate: Learn the skills for success during your first year of practice. This session, taught by a 20-year law firm recruitment veteran, will explain in detail why some associates advance and others fail. Caren Ulrich Stacy, a noted expert in the field of lawyer selection and development, lectures.

Business and Anatomy of a Law Firm: BigLaw partners and industry leaders reflect on their experiences and offer advice on choosing a practice area, client development, marketing and strategies for building internal and external networks. Panelists include Partners and General Counselor; including Sean Murphy (Milbank), Brian Breheny (Skadden) and Rich Palermo (HBO Entertainment).
