The purpose of an assessment is to ensure that a trainee has reached the level of competence to perform her/his job safely, correctly, repeatedly. To assess this performance, most organisations have checklist and procedures in place, but the main responsibility for the quality of an assessment lies with the assessor. How do you strike an appropriate balance between experience and procedure?
Learning Objectives and Expectations
Assessments remain a subjective task between two or more people. Our experience is crucial for understanding and judging the achievements of our trainees, but may at the same time, lead to a difference in viewpoint with other assessors or our trainees. In this training we focus using the objectivity of assessment forms, reports and tools as well as your experience in order to strike that fair balance. Special attention is paid to giving feedback.
The workshop is designed for both newly assigned as well as experienced assessors.
